10 Tips
to Reduce Energy Consumption :
1. Wash clothes in cold water
(clothes get just as clean, uses 1/2 the energy).
2. Place electronics (DVD, entertainment centers, TV, computer) on a
surge protector that can be switched "OFF" when not in use. Avoid
Phantom loads.
3. Brush off refrigerator condenser coils twice a year. Also clean AC
filters, remove lint in dryer regularly.
4. Replace light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.
5. Let dishes in dishwasher air dry.
6. Turn off lights that you are not using.
8. Hang your clothes on a clothesline.
9. Upgrade appliances to Energy Star when you need to replace them.
10. Run dishwasher/washing machine only when full.
